As was said on this
website, Koinobori are often used to signify the arrival of spring. They are usually hung on poles from April to early May. They are quite beautiful the colours of the carp are really vibrant against the blue skies. The ones that are hand painted are intricate and magnificently designed. The ones below was handpainted.
It would be an amazing sight to see thousands of
koinobori placed above ponds like this one below.
