Looking at the picture already makes your mouth water doesn't it? Mitarashi dango is not what it looks like, it is a grilled mochi glazed in a slightly salty soy sauce. There are many types of dango (roughly translates to dumpling) in Japan, and even though I haven't tasted all of them, I am certain that they'll be delicious. It is often sold in front of temples in Japan and I assume they are a nice snack.
