Post #37: Japanese Rock Gardens

  I have recently become obsessed with Japanese rock gardens. I call them rock gardens and others call them sand gardens. I have no idea what the official name is so if anyone could inform me, that would be just great. I find it amazing how they combine the element of line and make such a simple thing into something so serene and mesmerizing. The artistic quality of these gardens are amazing and I can't even begin to imagine how long it takes to make one and how much patience it takes to maintain it.
