This may seem like a confusing concept, but it is actually quite simple. These past few days, I've been kind of obsessed with syllogisms. It is a logical type of thinking that enables people to come to conclusions. A common example would be: Socrates is human, all human are moral; therefore, humans are moral. This sentence has an a which is Socrates, and a b which are humans. Then there is a c which is moral. Socrates = human (a=b), and humans=moral (b=c); therefore, humans are moral (a=c). This logic can be used sometimes but it is actually quite flawed. If this person is a bad waitress, and waitresses need to be smart, does this mean that this person is stupid? No.
