Post #16: Portuguese Egg Tarts
To be honest, these egg tarts don't even originate from Portugal. They are from Macau or Hong Kong. I hope many of you have heard of the egg tart because if you haven't, I urge you to try some. I could eat three of these and still not be full. They have a flaky and crisp crust that is filled with a creamy custard. Sugar is melted on top of it so that is what produces the dark spots on the custard. They are an amazing sweet treat that is driving me crazy right now. Recipes of this are available on the internet.
