Snowing
It snowed today, and I think it should be considered the first snow fall of the year. It was windy and cold and it stung my face, but it still made me happy. Have you ever wondered why each snowflake is different? It seems magical how it can be designed so prettily.
Timing’s everything. The vapor rises
high in the sky, tossing to and fro,
then freezes, suddenly, and crystalizes
into a perfect flake of miraculous snow.
For countless miles, drifting east above
the world, whirling about in a swirling free-
for-all, appearing aimless, just like love,
but sensing, seeking out, its destiny.
